I am Matthew Siegel, and I am Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Indaba Music. Indaba enables musicians all over the world to connect with each other and make music online. My interest in digital media and music began when Dan Zaccagnino and I started a non-profit record label in college, and from there, all sorts of ambitious ideas for changing the music business eventually led to Indaba – the premier collaborative web app and online community for musicians.
I live and work in New York City, the best place to be for some of the things I love (music, food, people) and the worst place to be for others (skiing, Africa). Before starting Indaba I worked for the management consulting firm Katzenbach Partners. I use this blog to talk about lots of stuff that I think is interesting, a lot of which focuses on digital media, music, the web, startups, and life in New York.
Wow – pretty exhaustive and interesting review.
It’s good to be you, Matthew! How can I get a song that I wrote done up the way it’s sounding in my head? Love, love, love your blog. Goodwill energies all your way.
